How many days until Cyber Monday?

The countdown finds the next Cyber Monday — the Monday after US Thanksgiving weekend — automatically and shows the days remaining, the weeks and days, and the date.

It's the number of days from today until the next Cyber Monday — no input needed.

Calculating the countdown…

The countdown is measured from your device's local date today to the next occurrence, in whole days, and rolls over to next year once the day passes.

How does it work?

Days are counted in whole calendar days using UTC, so the result is unaffected by time zones or daylight saving. A negative count means the date has already passed.

Days-until formula

d=targettodayd = \text{target} - \text{today}
d
Whole days between today and the target date.
target
The date you are counting down to.
today
The current date (your local today).

From 1 June to 1 July is 30 days.

Method & sources

We count whole calendar days from today to the next occurrence of a fixed annual date. The target rolls forward to the following year once the day has passed. Dates are handled in UTC so time zones and daylight saving never shift the result.

How we calculate

  • The count is whole days from today to the date you choose.
  • Today is your device's local date; the target date is the one you pick.
  • A negative count means the date has already passed.
  • The day of the week shown is the weekday the target date falls on.

Rounding

The countdown is in whole calendar days. Today and the target date are counted in UTC, so time zones and daylight saving never shift the result.

What this countdown does

Cyber Monday has no fixed date. It is the Monday after US Thanksgiving, which makes it four days after Thanksgiving itself and three days after Black Friday. Because Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November, the whole weekend slides around the calendar each year — and in some years Cyber Monday is not even in November. This countdown derives the date from that rule rather than a hardcoded list, shows the days left, and rolls over to the following year once the day has passed.

How to use it

  1. Open the page — the countdown is already running from today.
  2. Read the days remaining and the exact date.
  3. Check the weeks-and-days breakdown and the weekday it falls on.
  4. Use Share to send the live countdown to anyone.

When it's useful

Use it to hold off on an online purchase that is likely to drop in price, to plan the last big order before Christmas delivery windows tighten, and to see how much of the shopping weekend is still ahead of you. It also makes the length of the Black Friday to Cyber Monday stretch obvious, which is the part people tend to misjudge.

Cyber Monday dates for the coming years

The date follows US Thanksgiving, so it moves every year. Note 2030 — the weekend falls late enough that Cyber Monday lands in December, which catches people out:

  • Monday 30 November 2026
  • Monday 29 November 2027
  • Monday 27 November 2028
  • Monday 26 November 2029
  • Monday 2 December 2030

How it differs from Black Friday

The two were originally quite distinct. Black Friday was the in-store event, the one with queues outside the doors; Cyber Monday was invented as its online counterpart, on the theory that people would return to work on the Monday and shop from a fast office connection. That distinction has largely dissolved — nearly everything is online now, and most retailers run one continuous promotion across the whole stretch. What survives is a rough tendency: Cyber Monday still skews towards electronics, software, subscriptions, and digital services, while the Friday leans towards larger household items.

Using the days in between

The gap between the two days is short but genuinely useful, because prices move within it:

  • If something you want was not discounted on the Friday, it may still be on the Monday — the two days rarely have identical lineups.
  • If it was discounted on the Friday and you hesitated, check again: stock that did not clear is sometimes cut further.
  • Watch delivery estimates rather than just prices. By Cyber Monday the courier networks are loading up, and a slightly cheaper item that arrives in January is not a bargain.
  • This is roughly the last comfortable point to order from abroad and still expect a December arrival.

How the days are counted

The count is in whole calendar days from today to the date you pick, calculated in UTC so it never drifts with time zones or daylight saving. If the date has already passed, the count shows how many days ago it was.

FAQ

How many days until Cyber Monday?
The countdown above shows the exact number of days from today until the next Cyber Monday.
When is Cyber Monday?
The Monday after US Thanksgiving — three days after Black Friday. That puts it on 30 November in 2026 and 29 November in 2027.
Is Cyber Monday always in November?
Almost always, but not quite. When Thanksgiving falls as late as it can, the following Monday spills into December — that happens in 2030, when Cyber Monday is on 2 December.
Is Cyber Monday better than Black Friday?
Neither is reliably cheaper across the board. The lineups differ rather than the depth of discount, and most retailers now run both as one continuous sale. Comparing against the price you noted beforehand is more useful than comparing the two days.
How long is it from Cyber Monday to Christmas?
Usually around three and a half weeks. In 2026 there are 25 days between the two, which is comfortable for domestic delivery but tight for anything shipping internationally.
Can I share the countdown?
Yes. Share copies a link that reopens the countdown to the same date, always counting from the viewer's today.
